I’ve been getting into whisky over the last few years and have been especially fascinated with some of the more esoteric stories and térroir that make for interesting whisky experiences. The transparency movement from the likes of Compass Box and Bruichladdich have peeled back the veil to reveal what goes into the whisky blending and crafting process. Compass Box post the “recipe” for their blends and Bruichladdich allows you to lookup a batch code from your bottle to see what it’s made of.
